Yard care and community projects

Our hands-on yard projects support veterans who have difficulty maintaining outdoor spaces because of age, illness, or limited mobility. Work has included weed removal, soil preparation, and seeding. Contact James to discuss your needs and current project availability.

A Veterans Peace Foundation is a veteran-led nonprofit based in Wichita, Kansas. Our mission is to help veterans find practical support, connect with community resources, and feel less alone as they move forward.

Founder James Henley served in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 1996. His own experience seeking disability claims information helped shape a simple goal: make it easier for other veterans to find a starting point. Today, the foundation combines personal connection with hands-on community projects and resource guidance.
